Marco Pierre White proudly advertises that his London Steakhouse Co. was ‘established 2008’, suggesting that he is in it for the long haul. Mind you, peddling top-quality meat to affluent Chelsea
residents is a sure-fire business plan if ever there was one, and this King’s Road outlet delivers on its promise. The menu doesn’t change often, with starters including the likes of Morecambe Bay
potted shrimps or chicken liver parfait with Madeira jelly. However, it’s the grilled beef that gets people talking: expertly timed Scottish steaks – from an 8oz ‘house cut’ to massive 16oz T-bones
– come with triple-cooked chips and a choice of sauces (perhaps peppercorn or béarnaise). After that, bread-and-butter pudding and Cambridge burnt cream feature on the patriotic dessert list. The
place also scores with its glammed-up, split-level interiors and helpful service.
