The light, airy interior & eye-catching views over Borde Hill gardens makes for an elegant dining experience in this acclaimed local restaurant. Friendly staff serve contemporary dishes from a
kitchen with classical foundations. Seasonality is everything: expect starters of Dorset crab spring rolls with prawn bisque reduction or sautéed duck livers with celery, red cabbage & pear
salad, followed by roasted Devon hake teamed with braised leeks, parmentier potatoes, clam & lemongrass emulsion, or roast breast & ballottine of guinea fowl with carrot & swede purée,
fondant potato, shallot & ginger jus. Conveniently located for Gatwick Airport.
Starting off in the bar we had a glass of champagne, I had a Bellini and drank dads too as he was a little jaded from the party the night before. These were served with canapés of home cured salmon with creme fraiche, dill cured herring on rye, cheese straws and olives.I’ve added the whole menu in case you didn’t fancy what we had!...
