If you've ever wanted to run away and join the circus, this cabaret venue with its acrobats, dancers and burlesque performers is for you. The food is no novelty act however, with a confident,
recently re-launched menu of pan-Asian specialties that makes telling use of luxury ingredients. Recent highlights have included rich beef and foie gras gyoza, punchy chilli salt squid in a
delicate tempura batter and a dish of flaky Chilean sea bass dressed with a vibrant sauce of shaoxing rice wine, garlic and ginger. Such theatrically presented plates are ideal for sharing, with
big groups taking advantage of the large central table that doubles as a stage. A sexy sci-fi interior, rocking tunes and kicking cocktails ramp up the party atmosphere, while friendly service is
'as entertaining as the acts'.
There is no major sign indicating the property of Circus. All we saw were some black doors that were open and then looking inside, we could see that there was some sort of dining area. It’s only when we went inside the building, that there was the Circus sign in lights on one of the entrance walls.The decor is quite cool and quirky. There was a main long dining table with a few hoops above it, which we were told was for the circus entertainment in the evening. The other tables were to one side of the main dining table. The chairs were a mish mash of plastic and material chairs, all in black, white or translucent....
