DUE TO OPEN 2 SEPTEMBER 2014. SOFT LAUNCH FROM 19 AUGUST
Following the closure of Canvas on Marylebone Lane, high-flying Swiss chef Michael Riemenschneider is moving west and relocating to the swanky Belgravia basement that was formerly home to Le
Cercle. He is promising a slightly more informal approach than before, although it seems likely that the highly intricate ‘build-your-own tasting menu’ concept that got foodie tongues wagging in W1
will remain. Dishes being mooted include the following: red gurnard, asparagus, wild garlic and sorrel; pork loin, black pudding, potato and peach; beetroot, raspberry, chocolate and basil – all
backed by suitable wine suggestions. The new restaurant will also have a private dining room where customers will be able to plate their own dishes, and the set-up is also likely to include an
interactive chef’s table, dessert bar and bespoke wine cellar.
