Please note: in July 2011 this restaurant relocated to the above address; the following review refers to the original location.
Out of the chrysalis of an entrenched old boozer on the corner of Henderson Street & Giles Street in Leith, comes Café Fish. This is a modern venture, suitably polished up with brushed metal
surfaces, & sporting an open kitchen as well as a short wine list (22 white, red & rosé, half of them under £20). The menu changes daily, but pop in for lunch & you might kick off with
a poshed-up Cullen skink (creamy smoked fish & potato soup served here with added salmon, carrot & celery); after that, consider battered monkfish & chips or a rich & splendid fish
pie, followed by ample white chocolate mousse with raspberries for dessert. Meat & vegetarian dishes are also available, & the vibe is bright & breezy.
