This sensibly priced, family-run Italian is hidden behind a tiny shop front just off Leith’s main drag, but there’s plenty for locals to enjoy beyond its Tardis-like exterior. The kitchen is true
to its Sicilian roots, but has also absorbed the best of the region, particularly when it comes to fish – check out the catch of the day or the hot seafood platter (if it’s available). Pasta is
also a strong suit and there are some interesting combos on offer, such as spinach with basil pesto, peas and cream. Familiar antipasti and assorted bruschette start things off, ahead of generous
mains including a risotto of chorizo and king prawns – otherwise drop by for a late breakfast or casual deli-style brunch. Also expect a really warm welcome from the owners, who will pour
limoncello down your neck at the slightest excuse.
