Judging by the rate at which Aberdeenshire’s self-styled punk brewers are expanding across the land, Britain’s thirst for quality craft beer shows no signs of abating. Alongside their appropriately
out-there beers with crazy names (try Dead Pony Club and Hardcore IRA for starters), there are plenty of other native guest beers on tap, as well as esoteric bottles from all over the world.
Handily placed in the shadow of the iconic Kelvingrove Gallery & Museum, BrewDog’s Glasgow outpost is true to the house style – think exposed brickwork, minimalist stone tables and low-hung
lamps. Snacks are the order of the day if solid fuel is required – so order a plate of cheese or charcuterie to go with your pint, or nibble on some sausages while you listen to knowledgeable bar
staff enthusing about the booze.
