Book a restaurant online
More than 1,500 of the London
restaurants listed on squaremeal.co.uk are now bookable online. Not only does this smooth your booking process, but it also earns you a minimum of 100 Square Meal Loyalty points to redeem against a
range of rewards in the future (see the 'Square Meal Loyalty' section for more details).
• Once you’ve found your chosen restaurant, click to book a table. Simply choose the date and time you wish to eat, and the table size required, enter your contact details, and a confirmation email
will be sent to you.
• You only have to enter your details once – after that, simply log in to book tables.
• What’s more, if you find yourself peckish and on the move, you can search for a restaurant near you using the Square Meal search on your mobile and book a table there and then.
Find and book special offers at top London restaurants
Many of the restaurants listed on squaremeal.co.uk promote fantastic offers, set menus or seasonal specials. Look out for an orange ‘£’ sign giving details of the offers at your chosen restaurant,
then click to book a table.
You can search solely for offers by entering your search criteria into the ‘search offers’ field in the top left-hand corner of the homepage.

Whether you’re searching for a restaurant in a particular area, a specific cuisine, or for a special occasion, you can find the perfect choice on squaremeal.co.uk.
Find your restaurant using any of the following search facilities:
Quick search:
• To use the quick search, type your search term into the search box at the top of every page – results related to your search term will automatically flash up underneath the search box for you to
click on. Alternatively, type your search term into the search box and press the ‘return’ key – this will take you to a page of suggested restaurants.
• You can search by location (using postcode, landmark or nearest rail/tube station), restaurant name, cuisine type or keywords such as ‘views’ or ‘romantic’. In each case, the search results
returned will be listed in order of distance from the desired location or relevance to the search terms.
• From here you can refine your choice by using the filters in the column on the left.
Advanced search:
• The advanced search allows you to refine your search by your chosen criteria. Tick the relevant boxes to isolate your search to London or the UK (outside of London), then narrow down your search
to one or several specific cuisines and/or a chosen price range.
• You can reorder the results by price or location order if desired.
• If, for example, value for money is your most important consideration, you can search only for restaurants that are running special offers or promotions (found in the ‘optional extras’ section of
the advanced search). Narrow your choice to a specific type of offer such as 50% off using the filters in the column on the left.

If you’re looking for suggestions for a specific type of restaurant or bar, the hand-picked restaurant selections listed on the left-hand side of the homepage can guide you in your choice. These
are themed lists of restaurants selected and updated on an ongoing basis by Square Meal’s team of experts.
Scroll through the list and click on one of the options to expand it. As well as ‘top 10’ restaurants listed by area or cuisine, you’ll also find inspiration for all types of scenarios – from
romantic meals for two and gourmet business lunches to rooftop bars or the best-value Sunday roasts. Plus, Square Meal constantly updates its hot list of the latest and most exciting new openings.
Rate the restaurants you visit and post comments or reviews
Whether you want to give credit where credit’s due or let off steam about a recent restaurant experience, Square Meal wants to hear from you.
Once you’ve visited a restaurant, log in to your Square Meal
account and rate your experience by ranking the restaurant in terms of food, service, atmosphere and value for money. You also have the opportunity to write a comment or fuller review about the
restaurant, which helps other users when choosing a restaurant. Some users have built up extensive online portfolios of reviews, which are an invaluable resource for both personal use and for
others’ reference. Some user comments are so well considered by the editorial team they become a part of the Square Meal review.
As an incentive to encourage more comments from our community of diners, there are monthly free prize draws for all manner of prizes from meals out to bottles of fizz. We also recognise the best
