Aurelia’s two-floor site will be transformed into a swish Mexican offering by owner Arjun Waney. The as-yet-unnamed restaurant, which will launch on 21 October, will feature a
counter serving freshly made tacos and a buzzy but luxurious vibe.
Waney’s plush Mediterranean Aurelia (pictured, right) only managed to stay the course in Mayfair for 18 months; the restaurateur will be hoping his shift of focus to Mexico will follow the success
of posh Peruvian Coya, which he launched at the end of 2012.
