Congratulations to Raymond Blanc (pictured below) and his dedicated team at Le Manoir aux
Quat'Saisons, which has been named BMW Square Meal Best UK restaurant for 2013.
Le Manoir clinched the prestigious award amongst tough competition from other well-respected UK restaurants including Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck, The Hand &
Flowers, Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume, and Birmingham's gem, Purnell's.
‘Le Manoir is the quintessential out-of-London restaurant,’ said Square Meal’s editor Ben McCormack (pictured above). ‘Blanc set the bar high when he opened Le Manoir almost 30 years ago and no one
has managed to surpass it since then. It is the go-to destination for celebratory meals because it offers the complete package.’ Raymond Blanc, Le Manoir’s legendary chef/patron, has seen his
iconic Oxfordshire restaurant garner multiple plaudits, including two Michelin stars, since it opened in 1984. Blanc was delighted with another award to add to his heaving mantelpiece. ‘You never
get tired of winning,’ he said. ‘I still feel like I am on an extraordinary journey with the most incredible team – we are all creating something unique, always aiming for the sublime.’ Our
sincerest thanks go to BMW for its ongoing support of this award.
