This month, Madame St-Germain is on hand to guide us through the chicest hotel bars in London. Plus you could win a top prize when you show us where you have been enjoying the elderflower liqueur.

With summer upon us, a cocktail that’s cool, refreshing and floral is set to be on everyone’s lips, and there’s no better ingredient for such a tipple than the oh-so-chic St Germain elderflower liqueur. Made in France using 100% natural ingredients, St-Germain can be credited with kick-starting the trend towards all things elderflower when it launched back in 2007, immediately creating a thirst for those pretty little blossoms.

The exceptional quality of the liquid can be attributed to the flowers, which are hand picked every spring, and this artisanal element is carried through every stage of production, creating a top-notch liqueur with a touch of je ne sais quoi. Even the beautiful bottle is steeped in Gallic charm with its art nouveau-inspired design.

To be in with a chance of winning a St-Germain coffret, boasting a large carafe and a bottle of St Germain, take the best picture of a St Germain cocktail at a top venue and post it on Twitter or Instagram with the following tags and hash tags: @stgermaindrinks, @squaremeal (@SquareMealSnaps on Instagram),  #madamestgermaincocktails.

There’s one person who knows more about St-Germain and cocktails than most, and that’s the brand’s global ambassador Camille Vidal, who is better known as Madame St-Germain. Hailing from France, she has made London her home – and for good reason. ‘The London cocktail scene is one of the best in the world,’ she explains. ‘We are so lucky to have such wonderful venues and immensely talented bartenders.’

There’s nobody better suited to the task, so please allow Madame St-Germain to take you on a tour of her own favourite cocktail bars in the capital – as well as recipes for recreating their cocktails at home.
