The USA would have been an easy call – BBQ burgers and ribs – but I'm hosting the Algeria game. Any suggestions on what I can serve my guests? I'm not too familiar with Algerian food…

How about spicy chicken wings/thighs marinated in Harissa, bit of cumin, herbs? Easy picking food… With some big salads – tabbouleh, roasted pepper and tomato salad.

Algerian food is a real mish-mash of Morrocan (Berber), Arab, Turkish, as well as French, of course… I would suggest going down the Berber route, as they're a cross-boarder tribe and the food will therefore be suitably ‘north african’ themed and thereby suitably different – as well as tastey!

Surely, we should be supporting our boys by serving ENGLISH food for all the games?! Here's to pork pies, ploughmans and big bowls of salad with fresh garden peas!
