 | I like Wahaca's little books of chilli seeds for planting – better than matches any day. And the hair straighteners in the ladies' loos at Shoreditch House – a master stroke!

 | Tomato( Female, United Kingdom )wow you lucky things! I have to confess I am always left a little disappointed at events that the organisers don't think of the little things that make the difference – I have had to trudge through rain at hospitality without a branded umbrella in sight! Although yes – the shoreditch house people know what they are doing – straighteners, cowshed, fluffy white towels – what more could you want after a dip in that pool.

 | Liza T.( 40s, Female, London )I agree that these extra touches do make a difference. One of my favourite little extras was from an event at Wellington Arch last year where we were given a goodie bag that included bottled water (always much appreciated), chocolate (ditto!), a really nice apron & one of those English Heritage blue plaque mugs. I went with a couple of colleagues and we have our mugs at work – Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde & Sigmund Freud. They're lovely bone china & we use them all the time. The mug always reminds me of the venue & has made the event much more memorable (lovely though it was) than it would otherwise have been.

| Liza T.( 40s, Female, London )Yes, where have all the branded umberellas gone?! There was a phase where they were everywhere but now they're due a revival. Same with luxury keyrings…or am I not going to the right events (nice bone china mugs aside)?

 | I went to an sportswear launch event at Sketch in the summer – food and cocktails were great and we were given a jacket and hat, as well as water and jelly sweets (not very healthy, but most appreciated) to take home. Wear the jacket for cycling and running all the time – was very pleased with that one…

 | Captain Haddock( 30s, Female, United Kingdom )Also Molton Brown Sleep Mist spray on the bedside table at the Goodwood Hotel. And a big urn of free miso for members in the lounge at The East Room in Shoreditch – nice touch!
