Restaurant venues for a wedding

I'm looking for a large London restaurant for a wedding reception. I'm not too fussy about cuisine, as long as it's good and not going to frighten the guests too much, but it does need to have room for 100 in a single space. Any ideas?

Hello, I'm in the process of doing the very same thing! It is made slightly easier for us as we only have c. 60 for the meal bit. Some venues I've stumbled across in my research, that should be large enough and also specifically advertise the fact that they're available for large functions (I wouldn't want to have it somewhere that wasn't used to catering for large numbers at one time):

Fredericks in Islington
Prism in the City
The Star and Garter in Putney (they have an upstairs room that they use for weddings, parties etc)
The Larder in Clerkenwell
Devonshire Terrace in the City
1 Lombard St in the City
The Bluebird in Chelsea
Paternoster Chophouse by St Pauls

Good luck!

Not quite a restaurant, but I hear the Medieval Banquet venue near Tower Hill runs a fine line in wedding receptions.

How about Baltic in Southwark? I've been to a couple of big parties there and the space works really well.
