 | The_Brunette( 20s, Female, United Kingdom )Hi Sarah I guess the main things to consider are: How many people (including whether you're inviting mums, aunts etc as this will affect the kinds of activities everyone might be comfortable with) Rough budget per head/how much you think people might be able to afford. Also whether you need some money from them up front to cover any deposits Timescale – will it be one day or night out or do you want a weekend away Where it will be – Close to home, or away. Will you have to help people with accommodation? Food & drink – any special needs. Plus not running out of drink! Information – people like to know the basics in advance (date, what to wear etc); are you going to do it via email or send paper invitations Types of activities – girly pampering sessions or something more adventurous (go-karting, adventure trail things, sailing) or traditional hen party things (naked butler etc, or how about a private karaoke booth at somewhere like Lucky Voice?) Decorations/costumes – Will the bride want L plates etc. Do you want to get balloons etc to put up? If you want people to dress up in a certain way it's best to let them know as far in advance as possible so that they can start collecting bits I was at a friend's hen party a few weeks ago which was great: 10 of us rented a big house in Hampshire and had a talk from a “foreplay expert” on the first night (I think the company was called milky moments?) and then on the next day we went Go-Karting during the day followed by cocktails and a naked butler back at the house in the evening. It was very relaxed and friendly. If you're looking to organise a night out in a bar before Christmas then I would advise you to look ASAP as they are getting very booked up (I'm having problems finding one for an event myself!). Good luck!
