Looking for a kooky Christmas party venue

I'm organising my office's Christmas party and want to find somewhere different – we don't want all the usual tacky decorations or silly themes, we want something funky and unusual. Any ideas gratefully received as I have reached a dead end!

Lots of bars and restaurants put on some great Christmas packages without too much theming. We had ours at Paramount in the Centre Point building last year and it was wicked. The views from the top floor are amazing at night. I also had some friends who held theirs at Soho House a couple of years back. They said it was really well styled and organised. Good venue to tell friends you're going to, too!

There's going to be a Swiss log cabin arriving at the Howard (I guess in keeping with it being a Swissotel!) for Christmas. Probably a little more corproate than Reindeer a couple of years ago – but a very different proposition for Christmas.

Cabinet War rooms – we had our party there last year, the venue is great. The downside is the food, if you could get a different caterer than the one they usually use it would be a great venue, or do what we did and get the champagne flowing far too freely so everyone forgets about the food. We had approx 60 people, room could have held more.

I also looked at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, as another different venue, holds up to 90.

My top one that I've always wanted to book is the London Dungeon, but you need over 75 to book the entire venue.

Have also used the Salvador Dali gallery, which is pretty cool, think we had approx 150 for that.

Take a look at Altitude 360 based in Westminster. I went to a Square Meal readers event on Wednesday night there, and i didnt meet one person who wasnt blown away by the views. Really a very very cool place. Check out their views on the website altitudelondon.com
