They can hypnotise you for hours, although that might not be good for getting in the party mood. But excellent for de-stressing pre-event organisers. Interestingly I have discovered Lava lamps have a strangely enchanting, soothing, almost mesmerizing effect on humans and cats. I think I'll get some for our Christmas party!
