There's only a few that are used to hosting events though, to my knowledge. The East Room is a only a few hundred yards away from Old Street tube and will work well for you. Has a capacity of about 150 and does really good-quality snack food.

 | Suzanne W.( 30s, Female, United Kingdom )Also there is a really fun venue called Favella Chic which you may be able to hire privately, it's got this amazing DJ at the top of a tree trunk (has to be seen to be believed!) also Home is good, has a private downstairs space as does electricity showrooms (i think it's still called that) and there's a bar on the way down to liverpool street which could be called the light bar, and has outdoor space. oh and rich mix. don't forget shoredtich house too, though it will probably be a bit pricey. sorry for babbling but i live in the area so know lots of venues there! good luck
