You're right with your comments – ie “everyone's bespoke” etc, but I strongly believe the real test is in their experience and regular client base, and not just in a list of who they may have worked for once upon a time. If you want to have a chat with a very experienced organiser who's wonderful with people, truly understands what ‘people’ are all about, uses a unique audit system to discover what the client is really after, and does some really good stuff with the 3rd most recognisable brand in the world (after McDonalds and Coca Cola), then drop me a note. Posts: 1 | Hi The problem is that all event organisers do the same job, with varying degrees of expertise, the most important thing is that you find one that you get on with and that understands you and your goals. I would be very happy to talk to you about what I do and why I think I am different to other companies. I would also be happy for you to talk to one of my existing clients about why they use me if that would be helpful. Most of my business is through client referral.  | Denise C.( 30s, Female, United Kingdom )Hello everyone – thanks for all your help! I've taken your advice and booked my event with an established event company. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to/should name company names on this forum, but the company in question allowed me not only to see their past projects, but also talk directly to their previous clients. I understand that it's not the role of these clients to sell the event company to me… but it certainly helps make up my mind… and goes a long way to reassure me that it will all be alright!
