So we're half-way through the season. Who's been out and about at hospitality events? I'd love to hear your thoughts on which ones have been the best.

Chelsea flower show was good, though I think I prefer Hampton Court as more spacious. Ascot is a wonderful occasion and the hospitality was exceptional. But the best for me Wimbledon, you are up close and personal and it is England at it's very best.

I'm very lucky working in events because I get to attend most of the summer events (except Wimbledon which is way too expensive!) But Hospitality wise, I would say the opening day of Aegon Tennis champs is really great. The hospitality is not overpriced compared to others, its top quality and Andy Murray was playing, so good value. We also do Ascot, Grand Prix and a few others… But the best ticket of the summer has to be The Cartier International Polo in the Chinawhite Hospitality enclosure. Fab day. Long but fun and it can be quite hedonistic after dark!

I was lucky enough to get an invite up to The Open at St Andrews last week and I've got to say, it's the best sporting event I've experienced. Golf fan or no, anyone can appreciate the heritage surrounding the course and with spectator galleries surrounding all the pivotal holes, you can take in three or four groups playing at a time – unique among British courses.

Provided by Sodexo, the hospitality village is also second to none. Located midway along the course, no hole is more than 15 minutes' walk away. The chalets are well-equipped, with plenty of TVs and bars dotted about so you don't miss any of the action. The food served was seasonal and traditionally Scottish: cullen skink tart; haggis-stuffed fondant potatoes; Scottish raspberries and whisky ice cream were all exceptional.

A price tag of around £500 compares favourably to other sporting events, although with accommodation and travel, it can add up.

All in all for a golf fan, there's arguably no better ticket, but there's plenty for non-golf-bods to enjoy too.
