Any new Chef's Tables?

Venues & Events Editorial( London )

Morning all,
As it's such a popular Helpline request, we're always adding to our list of Chef's Tables so please tell us if you come across any new ones. Below is a list of London ones we already know of. We've also tried The Pass at South Lodge in Sussex and Bohemia at The Club Hotel & Spa in St Helier, Jersey. But are there more of them scattered around the country? We'd also love to hear about ones you've come across abroad. The definition of the term Chef's Table continues to evolve (some seem to tag the term onto any private dining room with a video link to the kitchen) but we're looking for tables that are either inside the kitchen or directly adjacent to it.
Many thanks!

I think the original chef's table was at Comme Chez Soi in Brussels: commechezsoi.be/CommechezSoi/tabid/399/language/fr-FR/Default.aspx

Cathedral Quarter Hotel in Derby has a fantastic Chef's Table situated adjacent to the kitchen within a stunning private dining room seating up to 8 guests. A large viewing window into the kitchen lets guests see the art and intensity of the kitchen first hand. cathedralquarterhotel.com/dine chefstablemenu.html

A friend of mine went to Purple Carrot at Lewtrenchard Manor down in Devon, I think they do the LCD screen thing like The Pass. Not sure whether I would be particularly interested in watching the kitchen on screen, much rather be in there at the heart of the action, otherwise what's the point?

I agree with Sally – so much more fun to be right in the heart of the kitchen. So which ones are ‘proper’ chef's tables, complete with noise and smells? I know Marcus Wareing at the Berkley is in the kitchen – albeit on a raised platform so you don't catch any splash-backs.

L'Ortolan used to have a very small chef table – literally for two people.
