 | Wannabe Critic( 30s, Male, United Kingdom )I know the majority of the readers here are from Southern England – however I would like to see more restaurants from the north getting a bit more recognition. For example we now have lasans in Birmingham that has become prominent due to the F- Word however there are several others in the region that are just as good. I have just visited the Peak District and dined in an area called Leek in a superb Indian / Bangladeshi meal that is situated in an old textile mill. They have done away with all this fusion nonsense and put particular emphasis on authentic traditional cooking. The food is sublime and the service is excellent. The restaurant is called Qarma and if I could persuade some critic to go there then I would highly recommend it and I know they would be raving about it – unfortunately they seem hesitant to go further than Watford.
If any other blog reader does venture towards this side of the country then yes Lasans is an excellent place to go to in Birmingham and further north I would strongly recommend Qarma
