 | The_Brunette( 20s, Female, United Kingdom )Hello You could try Nusa Dua on Dean Street. It specialises in Indonesian food – I've been there a couple of times and the food has always been OK, although nothing remarkable.

Posts: 1 | Evi D.( 30s, Female, London )Hello, I am Indonesian, both restaurants mentioned above – Bali Bali and Nusa Dua are mainly serve Indonesian food. Indonesian cuisine is actually very diverse and what you see in both of those restaurants are very small portion of it. I think the key is also to order the right food. Indonesians love sweet soya sauce, ‘semur’ dishes would have a lot of it. But it is on the sweet side. Kambing Bakar would use sweet soya sauce as well. ‘Tauco’ based dishes would be unique as well, gado gado is a well know Indonesian salad. Another strong feature of our cuisine is the peanut sauce. Tempe (soya bean cake) is a very popular vegetarian item, worth trying if they have them (I think from memory they did). Soto is a classic Indonesian soup. Both restaurants are ok, not fantastic, but do deliver the best selection of Indonesian food in London – for now. You need to go to Indonesia (or the Netherlands) to get better Indonesian food :). Enjoy!

Posts: 1 | I'd recommend Asia de Cuba on St Martin's Lane. Food is a fusion but has some good Indonesian dishes: viewlondon.co.uk/restaurants/asia-de-cuba-review-5629.html
