 | Galvin at Windows, gorgeous views from 28th floor of London Hilton Park Lane, across Hyde Park and the food is incredible. Not cheap, but really hard to beat for Christmas Day.

 | Hi Mims Thanks for your help. We will be visiting from Australia and I didnt realise that the trains and buses in London dont run on Christmas Day. I had a look at the Zonzo website and although it looks great, I checked on Google Maps and it is a long way from our accommodation in Earls Court/Kensington – especially if we have to walk! We are happy to take a Taxi but we may need two because there are 6 of us and perhaps they will also be scarce on Christmas Day. Also, we will have my mother travelling with us, who although being a fairly fit 72 year old, will probably not want to walk too far if we have to. Hoping for more suggestions if possible that may be in the Kensington area. Many thanks Lorraine

 | Noreen C.( 50s, Female, United Kingdom )How about Babylon in Derry Street W8, they have a fantastic roof garden and great views. We have had quite a few family Sunday lunches with a big age range there and it has always been very good. We live in the centre of London and have only had one Christmas Day actually at home. Taxis are easy to gpick up, you just have to pay a little more, but you could try arranging for one of the 6 seater Hackney cabs that are now available in London, might be worth contacting Datacab who are one of the companies that you can hire from to see if you can ensure you get the 6 seats. Otherwise, there is one good private hire company called Addison Lee who have people carriers so you could contact them for a price in advance. There is no other private hire company I would recommend, and would advise you to steer clear from them if they are not recommended to you by someone. One other thing you might like to do on Boxing Day is go to the theatre as it is can be good fun if you choose a matinee, then you have something to break the day up.
