Private Dining Room at Nahm

(menu)

Nahm private room - Nahm_private_room.jpgMichelin-starred Thai restaurant Nahm exudes an air of quiet confidence that carries right through to its private dining room. Separated from (but adjacent to) the main restaurant, the room shares the same serene teak, russet & gold colour scheme, as well as the impeccable barely-there service.

It’s a generously proportioned space, so meetings (& all the associated paraphernalia) are easily accommodated, with ample space for groups of up to 30 guests dining or receptions of up to 50.

Either way, we recommend starting with a jasmine martini – much lighter & more fragrant than the classic version – & canapes from Australian chef David Thompson’s latest selection. Unconventional but genuinely delicious combinations include ma hor – minced prawns & chicken simmered in palm sugar with deep-fried shallots, garlic & peanuts, served on pineapple & mandarin oranges. For sit-down dinners, Thompson’s innovative Thai food lends itself to sharing – that way you can really explore the menu – but if it’s the traditional starter, main & dessert format you’re after, a more Western menu is also available.
