The London Coffee Festival 2016
Caffeine addicts, beard lovers and milk art enthusiasts rejoice,
returns to Brick Lane from Thursday 7 until Sunday 10 April. As ever, The Old Truman Brewery is playing host and there’ll be more beans and freebies than you can shake a twitchy hand at. Here are the highlights: The London Coffee Festival
Coffee and food pairing with Scandinavian Embassy
You’ll need a VIP pass (£45 online, £65 on the door) for this one, but the VIP suite, The House of Coffee & Co, is the place to be for Amsterdam-based Scandinavian Embassy’s pop-up restaurant. The three-course coffee and food menu will include Normandy oysters paired with a chilled Tim Wendelboe Sitio Canaa – served in a frosted wine glass, of course.
The Lab Programme includes demonstrations, workshops, tasting sessions, debates and even a quiz. Need to know how to make a great coffee at home? This is the place for you. There’s also an Instagram masterclass on Saturday morning, for people whose phones are full of arty coffee pics…
The True Artisan Café
32 of Europe’s best coffee shops, one stand and several DJs. Basically, you could stand here for the whole weekend and watch the best coffee in Europe come and go – kiss goodbye to ever sleeping again.
The hunt for the golden coffee bean
No, we haven't gone insane: this is Lavazza's method for helping you to burn off all that fidgety, finger-tapping energy. Simply pay a visit to their stand, get tanked up on Italian roasted coffee, take part in the hunt for the golden coffee bean, then potentially win a Lavazza coffee machine – sounds like a plan to us.
