Get involved in a charity dinner at Plateau

On Monday 17 September, Docklands restaurant Plateau is hosting a one-off charity dinner in support of the IDCF, a Tower Hamlets charity which helps disadvantaged communities in the borough.

Head chef Allan Pickett will be joined by three top UK chefs; each will cook one course of the four-course menu.

The menu will run as follows:

Starter: Poached parsnip with egg yolk, baked oats, grapefruit and sea purslane
cooked by Paul Foster of Tuddenham Mill, Suffolk

Fish course: Cornish crab salad with brown-crab mayonnaise, pink grapefruit and apple
cooked by Chris Eden of The Driftwood Hotel, Cornwall

Main course: Roast cutlets of Colne Valley lamb with smoked-aubergine purée, braised sweetbreads and buttered carrots
cooked by Plateau head chef Allan Pickett

Dessert: Blackberry arctic roll with marinated blackberries and vanilla-shortbread crumble
cooked by Phil Thompson of Auberge du Lac, Hertfordshire

The four-course meal costs £80, or £100 including a glass of English sparkling wine on arrival. All profits will go to the IDCF. To book, call the restaurant on 020 3589 2139.
