Galvin at Windows hosts Shakespeare in the Sky
Galvin at Windows has teamed up with The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust to host a series of Tudor feasts with a dramatic twist – actors will perform scenes from some of Shakespeare’s most famous
plays during the meal.
The first Shakespeare in the Sky event is a performance of
Romeo and Juliet on Wednesday 25 April. The action will start with the masked Venetian ball scene and the romantic tragedy will
play out from there, between courses.
Then, on 21 May and 21 June, the restaurant will welcome Shakespeare experts Stanley Wells and Paul Edmondson (respectively) to talk about Shakespeare’s works, life and times. During the evening,
actors will perform readings from Shakespeare’s oeuvre.
The final Shakespeare in the Sky event will be a performance of
Twelfth Night, on Wednesday 26 September. Tickets to the Shakespeare in the Sky events cost from £130. Dinner will be served
from 7.30pm on the balcony of Galvin at Windows. Contact Andrea Letovancova for more information or to book tickets.
