Lots is written about how few female chefs London lays claim to – but not much is done. However, this spring and summer, J Sheekey Oyster Bar and Guardian Members are showcasing the talents of a host of very different women who all found their way into the kitchens via writing and food styling, as part of an all-female guest chef series.
Talents scheduled to cook in the kitchen for one night only (alongside resident executive chef Andy McLay) include Rosie Birkett (author of A Lot On Her Plate, Olia Hercules (author of Mamushka) and Anna Jones (an expert in vegetarian cuisine).
The guest-chef series will kick off on Tuesday 5 April with Rosie Birkett, and will run until August, with the second instalment of chefs announced in April.
Tickets cost £50 for three courses and can be booked through the Guardian Members website.
