On the weekend of 16-18 September, The Botanist will host a pop-up oyster-and-crustacea bar in the middle of Sloane Square to mark the start of the native-oyster season.
The bar will serve a range of native oysters, including West Mersea pearls, Brown Sea Island Dorset rocks and Duchy natives, all priced at £2 each; half-a-dozen or a dozen oysters are priced at
£9.50 and £18 respectively.
Seafood from Billingsgate Market will also be on offer, including poached Isle of Benbecula langoustines served with lemon and mayonnaise, whole dressed Dorset crab, and classic Atlantic prawn
cocktail with avocado.
Diners can wash the food down with a glass of Chapel Down Vintage Reserve Brut (£6), or a pomona fizz cocktail made with pomegranate, pear, honey, fresh lime juice and tonic (£3). A solo
saxophonist will serenade punters each day.
