Carnaby Street is well-known for its deeply-rooted fashion and music heritage but on Sunday 20 July, you'll be able to add world-class food to that list when 30 of the neighbourhood's best
restaurants and bars team up to bring their lip-smacking dishes for hungry crowds to try.
Whether it's sunny Hawaii, rustic Italy or punchy Indian spices you're looking for, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to experiencing a whole range of international cuisines at Carnaby
Street Eat. Feast on 'sun in a bun' burgers from Hawaiian grill Kua'aina, who will be dishing out grub from their
mobile 'beach shack', fresh margheritas with homemade oils from trendy pizza joint Pizza Pilgrims, smokin'
jerk chicken wings from The Rum Kitchen or hirata buns and gyoza from a traditional yatai street
food stand courtesy of Japanese ramen house Shoryu. To cool off, make sure to splash out with prosecco from
Wright Brothers', who will also be serving a brunch treat of smoked salmon, capers and chopped egg on toast
as well as showing keen foodies how to shuck oysters.
As if the promise of world-class food wasn't enough, expect a series of cookery demos led by presenter, Celebrity Masterchef winner and food-lover Hardeep Singh Kohli with some help from big-time
restaurateurs and chefs. Keep your eyes peeled roller-skating disco honeys and Cirque le Soir performers who will be taking Carnaby streets by storm, listen to the live music and chill on deck
chairs or strike a (yoga) pose with Triyoga. Camera specialists Lomography will also be on site running fish-eye camera workshops for those who want to add some creativity to their food-filled day.
Carnaby Street Eat is free to attend. The taster dishes are £5 and there will also be on-the-day-offers. Make sure to register on Carnaby Street Eat for a free event
guide and the chance to win dinners for two.
