Since launching in 2008, Lumacoustics has taken the event world by storm. With a client list that now runs from the Glastonbury Festival to the Royal Albert Hall and the MTV European Music Awards, the company delivers an ever-increasing portfolio of interactive digital experiences. Its flagship product for events is a digital graffiti wall. YrWall is an interactive drawing art tool, which allows users to create virtual digital graffiti on a large wall using a modified spray paint can. It’s graffiti with a can that contains no paint, only a button and IR light source, tracked using a computer vision system. It’s accessible to anyone, without prior computer or graffiti skills and designs can be printed onto t-shirts for guests to take away. The same technology is also put to use in the company’s 2011 launch, the YrWall Digital Surface. Instead of spraying with a ‘can’, users draw on the interactive table with a pen.
