Launchpad has been relocated, refurbished and dramatically reinvented. Divided into six zones – Light; Materials; Energy Transfer; Sound; Forces & Motion and Electricity & Magnetism, new Launchpad is packed with over 50 hands-on exhibits, electrifying shows and lively demos. For corporate events with a difference, Launchpad inspires guests to make and see science happen.
The interactive exhibits represent a combination of updated ‘classics’ from the previous gallery, world-firsts created by designers and technicians from the Science Museum and around the world, and new installations inspired by existing pieces previously unseen in the UK.
For teambuilding, staff incentive events and contemporary receptions, you can now invite your guests to trap their own shadow, launch a hydrogen rocket, turn their head into a sound box, spin like a skater or discover which bits of their body are hot on a thermal imaging camera. Gallery ‘Explainers’ can also be booked for events to interact with guests and heighten the overall experience.
