Afrika! Afrika!

Combining the wow-factor of Cirque du Soleil with the rhythmic sounds and vibrant colours of an exotic continent, Afrika! Afrika!, which opens at The O2 this January, is a circus adventure with a difference. Set in a series of lavishly decorated ‘Tented Palaces’, it brings together more than 100 dancers, singers, acrobats and musicians in an energetic show that gives the audience a real flavour of Africa.

Acts range from Tanzanian wire artists to South African gumboot dancers and extend to trapeze artists, jugglers and contortionists that are all masters of their trade. The show raises money for the UNESCO fund Art in Africa and travels with an African restaurant, art gallery and souk, which visitors can explore before and after the main performance.

Corporate guests can take over their own Moorish VIP tent for anything from a drinks reception for 40 to dinners for 800 people, while the entire site can host private shows for up to 2,070 guests. Packages range from £175-£225 and bookings are being taken until 31 May.
