Founded in 1861, Sale are one of the oldest clubs in the country, even if they are a little far from home at their Stockport base. The club has played since 2003 at Edgeley Park - the home of Stockport County FC - and has gone on to enjoy success both domestically and in Europe. Notable players of recent years include explosive England forward Jason Robinson and other international stars Charlie Hodgson and Mark Cueto.
