Once just plain old Wasps, the club added the London title despite playing outside the capital in High Wycombe. In recent years they have been transformed from being consistently mediocre to performing astonishingly well. Wasps, who play in a gold and black kit to fit their name rather than the other way round, have had a good share of elite England players at Adams Park lately, including World Cup winners Lawrence Dallaglio and Josh Lewsey.
