London Irish were formed in 1898 for the young Irishmen of England's capital city, hence the name. And in the nomadic tradition which their moniker evokes, the club now don't even play in London, but are instead based at Reading's Madejski Stadium. The venue is the home of Reading FC and, with 24,000 shiny blue and white seats and excellent facilities, it is arguably the best club rugby stadium in Europe. And the club seems to have been boosted since the move north. The Exiles have been home to some of Ireland's top internationals over the years but, in 2004, found a place for British Lion and England World Cup Winner Mike Catt.
