Derbyshire have traditionally struggled in the county championship since joining in 1895, but the East Midlands county did win the title in 1936. The County Ground has seen its fair share of impressive fast bowlers who have represented England, including Mike Hendrick, Devon Malcolm and Dominic Cork. As well as playing in Derby, the county have returned to occasionally playing at Queens Park in Chesterfield - arguably the prettiest cricket venue in the professional game.
