The thrill of stepping aboard a powerful round-the-world yacht is guaranteed to quicken the pulse of even the most hardened sailor. As a corporate teambuilding experience, big boat racing is not only a thrilling prospect for participants, it also cultivates team bonds and collective performance skills to meet business objectives back in the office. All of Clipper Events’ charters are conducted on a fleet of specially designed yachts, and 2012 sees the introduction of 12 new 70ft boats – adding to the current fleet of ten 68-footers – capable of hosting between eight and 268 guests. Teambuilding, development programmes and industry regattas are all part of Clipper’s portfolio, as is hospitality at events such as Cowes Week. Bespoke options allow clients to personalise events with branded trophies, as well as extra venue hire and gourmet catering. Attendees are taught by professional sailors and require no sailing experience.
