Square Meal Review of The Roving Artist ?

Silhouetting as an art form dates back to the Georgian era, when portrait miniaturists wished to broaden the appeal of their art by creating a quicker, less expensive kind of miniature. The Roving Artist brings this trend into the 21st century at events across the country, using only a pair of scissors and a keen eye (a technique known within the art world as ‘cut and hope’) to create a tiny profile of guests. The company has two roving artists, Michael Herbert and Charles Burns, who have both been silhouetting for over 10 years and have cut portraits of many celebrities, including the Queen.
