Wycombe, with their distinctive light blue and dark blue quartered shirts, were founded in 1887 by furniture makers - hence their nickname, the Chairboys. The club surprised all in 2001 when they
got to the semi-final of the FA Cup, where they were beaten by Liverpool in a showpiece game at Villa Park, Birmingham. Unusually, the Buckinghamshire club share their biggest rivalry with
Colchester United, rather than more local clubs such as Reading and Oxford, because the two teams have faced each other in key games over the last 20 years or so.
