Pregnancy Pizza

Innovative pizza joint Eco has come up with a novel way of keeping pregnant women happy by launching a range specifically for them. Owner Charmaine Wasif came up with the idea after three women requested bizarre toppings in just one week. Approved by nutritionist Dr Sarah Schenker, unusual toppings include pistachio ice-cream, baked beans and sour cream, while more palatable combos such as steak & seeds may appeal to adventurous non-pregnant diners (see below for the full list of combinations).

Ice cream pizza
Mozzarella, tomato, caramelised banana,
honey roast ham, dried sultanas and cranberries,
fresh mint and dill and a scoop of pistachio ice cream

Baked beans & sultanas
Mozzarella, tomato, baked beans, sultanas,
okra, prunes, olives, capers, fresh dill, topped with fresh rocket

Steak & Seeds
Mozzarella, tomato, grilled steak (well done),
crispy pancetta, toasted sunflower seeds

Mozzarella & avocado
Mozzarella, chopped tomato, fresh coriander,
avocado, parsley and pumpkin seeds

Grilled aubergine and lentil
Mozzarella, tomato,grilled aubergine,
broad beans, puy lentils, baby spinach

Fiorentina
Spinach, egg, onion, olives, mozzarella, tomato
sauce, garlic & olive oil

Fresh salmon & sour cream
