Best burger in essex?Best burger in london?Burger review LondonBurger review EssexBurger Blog

  1. Bread Street Kitchen first. Time against me I'd barely sat down before ordering the burger. The BSK short rib beef burger comes with Monterey Jack cheese and smoked tomato ketchup. Hand cut chips are ordered separately. My medium rare request was declined. Anything above medium was explained. Medium it is then. I understand there is a greater risk, but surely if I have requested it to be cooked that way I should be able to get it...

Flat Iron | Fred Smith @ Flat Iron, London

Fred Smith, for those of you who don't know, was the head chef at The Admiral Codrington. His kitchen became universally regarded as one of the best burgers London, in fact anywhere, had to offer...

    Elliot's Café | Elliot

For some time now the weekday lunchtime only Elliot's cheeseburger has been universally regarded as one of the best London has to offer - for some reason, mostly laziness, I have not reviewed it until now, after my third burger from them...

Meatmission | MEATmission, Hoxton Market, London

Just over 1 year on from the doors opening at MEATliquor we now have their latest offering MEATmission. A few minutes walk from Old Street station they have taken over what was a Christian Mission building and turned it into their smartest venture yet...

Patty & Bun James Street | Patty & Bun, London

So Patty & Bun have done it, they've turned previous popups at Doodle bar, Endurance and We Feast to there very own restaurant in the heart of London's burger district and no one deserves it more. I met Joe briefly at We Feast back in August and the enthusiasm he has is extreme; and the passion he has for burgers infectious. Its opening day at Patty & Bun and me and the Mrs have decided to pay the joint a visit. We arrive at around 18:30 and we only had about a 5 minute wait before we were in...

3 South Place | 3 South Place Bar and Grill, London

Burger: Heron’s Farm Longhorn hamburger, Blythburgh bacon, Montgomery cheese Price: £14 The newly opened South Place hotel was the destination today for a work leaving lunch. South Place Hotel brings together the City and the East End. Located between Moorgate and Liverpool Street in the City of London, South Place is the first hotel from D&D London. On their reception desk there was the latest Time Out magazine, and whilst waiting for a couple of stragglers I managed to get to the best burgers in London page, it seemed a good omen. It's a stylish restaurant with sofas around dining tables as well as chairs, I'm not sure I'd like to eat a meal sitting on one of the sofas...

    Meatliquor | MEATLiquor, London

Just a few minutes walk from Bond Street station, I met MBA(Mrs Burger Addict) bang on 18:30, no queue just the smell of meat wafting down the street. In we went and within seconds sitting in the middle of the restaurant on a huge round shared table...

The Luxe | The Luxe, Old Spitalfields Market, London

Rather embarrassingly the answer to this until Monday was no, but I have been now, question was did it live up to MEATWagon and MEATMarket both of which had received the BA gold stamp of approval. The earliest I can get there from work is 18:30 and I had heard there is usually already a big queue, so I guess the thought of this has delayed the inevitable trip...

Honest Burgers Soho | Honest Burgers, London

I vary rarely venture south of the river, and with home being Essex the original Brixton Honest Burgers had eluded me for some time and then somehow I have had the privilege of eating from their two restaurants in just over a week. Last Sunday I had a take away from Brixton Village, and today eating at their newish Soho location...
