    House of Wolf | House of Wolf

    From burlesque to bugs, the House of Wolf assaults all senses. The Victorian-inspired three-story venue has double door frontage on Upper Street, Islington, and despite undoubtedly high rent – the founders have spared no expense on the details. They have recently celebrated their first birthday with a boozy affair (and the Mrs was lucky enough to attend). Jennifer Anderson-Mann and Damian Frizzell opened two successful clubs in Brighton prior to the House of Wolf, while the third founder – Matt Fleming – was a bar manager at the Shoreditch House. This is their first collaboration and they describe it as a “multi-sensory experimental pleasure palace” with weekly offerings of burlesque and cabaret...

  2. So Hoxley and Porter, you’re a new bar on Upper Street you say? Well what makes you so much better than the rest? This cocktail bar-cum-rail carriage is serving up elevated cocktails and classic yet modern British fare – all set in 1920s opulence. And while native north Londoners might not find this the most exciting of news (as those familiar with the Islington area know you can easily land on a bed of grass-fed beef with a cheeky digestif to cushion the blow), Hoxley and Porter is a diamond – not quite amongst the rough, but certainly amongst the rubies...
