Blog Reviews from Feed me Coffee and Banana Bread

Coffee Shop visits in London.

  1. I have walked pass Ozone before after visiting Salvation Jane but never went in. Through reading Chris Ward’s“Out of Office” and looking at the pictures from the Independent Coffee Guide (2nd Ed), it seems like a nice place to get some work done. I was hoping to get a seat in front of the Barista station as there is a large table to get some work done. When I got off Old Street Station, I was very surprised to see a lot of people in the station as everytime I come (weekends), it is so dead...

Birdhouse | Birdhouse at Clapham Junction

Visited Birdhouse on a rather cold morning back in April. Really liked the layout of the shop and the decor looks clean and great! It has a very Ikea’ish feel (mainly from all the yellow colours I am observing). I brought some work to do and ordered my usual banana bread and coffee. They use Climpson’s and Sons beans here which is great as I have yet to visit the roastery and shop...

    Tap Coffee | TRIPLE T-A-P!

Finally went to the third of the T-A-P coffee shop at Wardour Street as I was curious about their cold brew. It did not disappoint and it is perfect for the current hot weather. Served in a chilled used jam jar along with the cute small bottle of coffee. It certainly helps when the jar was icey cold – just like how a martini glass should be … genius. I wonder what was used for the small bottle? It looks very “Aesop” like. Great place to drop by and chill after some shopping at Oxford Street...

Caravan King's Cross | Caravan at Kings Cross

Came here on a weekend for Brunch and it was really packed. Expect to wait for seats. They will give you a bag of coffee beans I believe and you can seat over the bar to have a drink. Best to make sure that the bean bag is visible so the waiters can find you...

    Lanka | Lanka

Had the opportunity to visit Lanka last month to try out their famed cakes from their Japanese Artisan Baker. They have moved their location from their former Primrose Hill shop to Goldhurst Terrace. They have very limited seating when I went there. Probably 7 individuals the most...

  6. Rapha is one of the more interesting coffee shops. Lots of cycle gear in the shop aimed for the professional cyclist. I had filtered coffee and banana bread (slightly burnt). Took a seat near the window while I took a few shots of the shop. If you are struggling to find a coffee shop at Picadilly circus, this would be a good place to go to. It also featured as one of the top 30 coffee shops in London. They serve very good coffee and an array of snacks...
