    La Fromagerie | LA FROMAGERIE

I have a spot spot for cheese. There’s just something special about it in the sense that it can be incorporated it into every meal and works well for different occasions. Having already spotted a mini cheese heaven in Madrid aka Poncelet Cheese Bar, I recently found love in La Fromagerie. La Fromagerie has two branches in London; the original in Highbury and another just off Marylebone High Street. Marylebone is one of my favourite neighbourhoods in London (even more so now that the Pâtisserie des Rêves is opening its first London store in the area). Let’s talk about their cheese first. La Fromagerie has a glass-walled cheese room where a great variety of cheese from all over the world is displayed. Their English and French variety is excellent, but even if you’re not the biggest connoisseurs the staff are always willing to help and let you taste sample...

    Ceviche | CEVICHE

London is a true melting pot of cultures. With countless dining options available, a foodie can travel all around the world. This time I got to experience a little piece of Peru by trying out Ceviche, a Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Soho ran by Martin Morales and chef Alejandro Bello. After its opening Ceviche became quickly the talk of the town. I was really excited to try Peruvian cuisine for the very first time and see for myself whether this place would live up to its reputation! First of all, if you consider going there make sure you reserve a table in advance. When my partner in crime and I arrived early on a Saturday evening, it was already busy and buzzing...

    Callooh Callay | CALLOOH CALLAY

East London, and Shoreditch in particular, is full of fascinating places (a couple of my favourites here and here). That’s the adjective I would use to describe Callooh Callay, a bar hidden in a sketchy looking street close to Hoxton Square. Callooh Callay has everything going for it: creative cocktails, funky decor and a members-only venue...

Albion is one of my favourite spots in East London for a quick coffee or an afternoon cup of tea. This modern café forms part of the Boundary Project, Terence Conran’s multidisciplinary space, which comprises Boundary Rooftop (with killer views over the city – on my to-do list when the weather gets warmer!), Boundary Restaurant (I’ve had a bday dinner there and fully recommend it!) and finally, the Albion...

This place may not be a complete secret for the coffee aficionados out there. There are a handful of good coffeeshops around London and Monmouth Coffee is definitely on top of the list. Once you step in the store, you are dazzled by the aroma of freshly grinded coffee...

    Rochelle Canteen | ROCHELLE CANTEEN

The Rochelle Canteen is a well-kept foodie secret (or at least so far, until foodie spies like myself revealed its existence!). Hidden behind the doors of an old Victorian school in Shoreditch, it’s the perefect spot to enjoy a calm hearty meal and soak up the sun on its fantastic terrace overlooking the grassy courtyard of the building...
