York’s first five-star hotel is to open this spring: the £20 million Cedar Court Hotel & Spa, which was originally a railway building, will have views over the Minster and the city’s ancient walls, as well as private dining facilities, a roof garden and elegant function rooms. The 107-room hotel will also have an indulgent spa and indoor swimming pool.
