Ever-popular Fredrick's is about to boost its popularity still further with event bookers following the launch of the 'Fizz at Fredrick's' package. All new meeting enquiries confirmed before the end of March 2010, based on a minimum spend of £1k, will receive a bottle of bubbly. Nine price brackets are matched with nine different offerings, from a bottle of Laurent Perrier right up to a magnum of Louis Roderer Cristal.
The Restaurant at The Vineyard at Stockcross has a new executive chef on board. Following the departure of two-Michelin-starred chef John Campbell for pastures new at Coworth Park, Daniel Galmiche, a popular choice on Saturday Kitchen and formerly at the Forbury Hotel, is now at the helm. The restaurant has also recently won 'Hotel Restaurant of the Year' at the National Restaurant Awards.

QHotels' The Queens has announced plans to develop Leeds' first ever dedicated executive floor, QClub. With work beginning in January 2010 and finished by March, 18 executive guest rooms and suites, plus a complimentary bar, executive lounge and meeting and office space, will be located on the 8th floor, with great views of the city skyline.
North-east England's newest five-star hotel is now open with plenty of exciting event space and a Michelin-starred chef, Kenny Atkinson, at the helm. Rockliffe Hall, 20 miles from Durham, is set in 375 acres and has two large meeting suites accommodating up to 180 people, with eight further meeting rooms opening in December. The only five-star luxury hotel in the New Forest National Park, newly opened Lime Wood (tel: 023 8028 7177) looks set to give the likes of Babington House a run for its money. 29 bedrooms and suites are joined by a Michelin-starred restaurant and, come summer 2010, a 16,000sq ft spa. Come spring 2010, a new hotel will open in the grounds of Lingfield Park Racecourse & Golf Club, set to become the first fully integrated Marriott Hotel, racecourse and golf club in the UK. 116 bedrooms will be complemented by state-of-the-art conference suites, including four within the hotel and additional facilities for up to 450 in the racecourse's existing Pavilion Suite, which will be refurbished prior to the hotel's opening.
