We’re pleased as punch to report that our sister publication, on-trade drinks bible Imbibe, has just posted rip-roaring figures for its second ever exhibition, Imbibe Live. Held at Earl’s Court 2, visitor numbers were up 64% on last year, with buyers and exhibitors alike lavishing praise on the layout and calibre of attendees. Over 1,500 drinks brands were on site, including the biggest names in the business. The show returns next year on 3 and 4 July.
London’s Met Bar has put its interiors up for sale in an eBay charity auction, this morning. In preparation for a total refurbishment, the legendary watering hole is selling off furniture including private booths that Kate Moss & Johnny Depp huddled in, DJ decks Kings of Leon mixed on & stools Liam Gallagher perched on. The starting price for the entire collection is £5000, with all the proceeds being donated to Teens Unite Fighting Cancer. The venue will be closed from 31 July until September while the renovations take place.
