Cookery teambuilding is all the rage at the moment and no one does it better than Wigmore Street-based L’atelier des Chefs. In a light-and-airy, custom-built learning kitchen which can host up to 50 students at a time, guests can either learn to cook a pre-ordained meal under the tutelage of an experienced chef or take part in a fun menu-planning and design session. Until the end of April, bookers are also being offered a free ‘dinner in an hour’ course for two people.

The Piccadilly venue, just across from The Ritz, is launching a wine tasting package for events. In partnership with Hamish Anderson, head sommelier at Tate Britain’s award-winning restaurant, Audi quattro rooms has developed a list of top-end wines to be tasted in groups of around 125 guests. Prices start from £100 per person for a tasting session and canapé receptions, but extras can be added on. See the wines.

Arguably the most exhilarating teambuilding experience on the market has just launched its summer sailing series. Clipper Events is inviting companies to take control of one of its 68-foot, round-the-world calibre yachts and race against other firms on the Solent. Packages are priced at £3,500 per 12-man vessel, which includes all food for the day, full training and three races in the afternoon against nine other identical craft.

New head chef at The May Fair Hotel, Silvena Rowe, is launching a range of indulgent packages for corporate groups, pairing exclusive drinks with top-end food. Named ‘150’ after the 150cl of fizz in magnum of Champagne, the tasting experiences are designed for groups of 12, including four bottles of vintage bubbles matched with four canapés for each guest. The Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 1998 menu follows the canapés with delights like diver-caught scallops and West Mersea native oysters. Sevruga caviar and foie gras are also features. The top package comes in at £4,400 for a group.

The 87-bedroom Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel has just revamped its terrace space, bringing with it a Pommery Champagne bar and a summery new look. Hosting a maximum of 48 guests, the area has sprawling views over the surrounding area and with a location a stone’s throw from Harrrods and Harvey Nicks, it’s sure to be popular with thirsty shoppers as the weather hots up. A range of BBQ sharing menus and cocktails work perfectly for groups.
